How can I understand if my pet needs physiotherapy?

The need for physiotherapy sessions can arise from various reasons: post-operative physical recovery, injuries, joint problems or chronic conditions. If you notice changes in mobility, discomfort, or behavioral changes, a veterinary evaluation may determine whether physical therapy is appropriate.

Physiotherapy can improve mobility, relieve pain, speed up post-operative recovery, strengthen muscles and improve quality of life in cases of chronic conditions. Our specialized veterinarian can draw up a personalized plan based on your pet's specific needs.

In general, physical therapy is a safe practice for most animals. However an initial veterinary assessment will determine the suitability of this treatment for your pet. Specific techniques and exercises are adapted based on the species, size and health condition of the animal.

The time to observe the results may vary depending on the starting condition of the animal and the type of treatment. In some cases it is possible to notice improvements after a few sessions, while more complex conditions may require a long-term approach. Our veterinarian will give you a realistic picture of your recovery time during your initial evaluation.
