FAQs

How can I prevent urinary infections in my pet?

Prevention of urinary infections involves maintaining good hygiene, ensuring constant access to clean water and regularly subjecting your pet to veterinary tests for an early diagnosis.

Symptoms include changes in urination, blood in the urine, difficulty urinating, increased or decreased urine output, lethargy, and/or loss of appetite.

For renal care in elderly animals, we recommend a balanced diet, adequate hydration, frequent veterinary checks and renal function tests for timely identification of any problems.

The presence of kidney stones can cause severe pain, changes in urination and, in severe cases, blockages in the kidneys. A veterinarian will perform tests to determine the size and composition of the stones, recommending the appropriate treatment.
